ok my 94 runner is lookin tired of ridin stock. since i plan to go sas in a year or two, how could i fit 33's the cheapest. its got the 31's on there stock. how much do coil spacers for those cost and how much lift would i expect to get by cranking the torsion bar all the way up?

one more thing, on my 85, does anyone know of a company that makes wheel studs that look remotely like the stock ones? i bought some from napa and had to take them back because they werent the same.

thanks a lot for all the help.

there was a wheel stud post a while back. and i am po that i can't remember the part number. a napa should be able to get it right, they have it.

i had my tbars cranked quite a bit but also had a 3" body lift and could fit 35x14.5 but i don't think you really want the bars cranked that much it breaks things like idler arms and cv boots. make sure you pound the seem flat at the front of the cab b/c that is where the tire will hit.

Three inch body lift, and trim a little bit and throw some bushwakers on or something, it will get you by for now, i know i wouldnt want to trim a new runner like that it just depends on wat you have planned for it in the future:Rockonman

if you are scared of chopping into your fenders you could throw some 'glass on her, though that wont help in the rear.

Ditto what Rob said, crank your torsion bars and you will break tons of parts. I had a buddy that HAD to have 33s on his Chebbie (90 1500); we were fixing it more than he was driving it. More than normal for chebbies even! He drives an '86 4runner now.

does your runner have ADD or locking hubs (manual or automatic)? that will make the difference in how long CV joints on your front axles last. if you have ADD, they are locked in all the time, so they turn all the time, even when you are in 2WD, so they wear out lots quicker. if you have locking hubs, leave them unlocked unless you are using $WD and they will last alot longer.

Plus, if you crank your torsion bars your truck will ride alot stiffer, i did that with my '94 for a while, it rode like a sports car, so i put it back.

well cuttin into this runner isn't somethin i plan on doin. my 85 is for that (i likes me some sawzall though). well thats cool, thanks for all the advice. cant wait to learn how to weld, get good at it, then sas that sumbitch. regarding the stud from napa: bought some, put them in the rotor, they spun around and the splines didnt catch at all. oh well, dealership time.
thanks a lot!

well, i went to pirate to look and i NEVER go to pirate (or use caps:D ) the part number is 610-264 that is a dorman number that any napa or most autoparts stores will have.
