I just read the other thread and mine is a bit different. It was running great, I drove it to Moab in April and she ran like a champ. I went on 4-6 more wheeling trips after Yotafari and it ran great then also. I have started to trailer my truck the trails now so its been a while since I had it on a hard core road trip.

This is what is what I did before I had the cutting out. I took off my K&N and cleaned and oiled it up. I also cleaned up my battery with baking soda and water. I then put it on the trailer and went to Grand Junction. We started driving to the trail head and that's when it started sputtering. It was wild. I put the clutch in and it ideals great. I can run it up to 4-5000 rmp with no load on and it will not cut out. I also started to hear my fuel pump making new noise, like a humming type. So I changed that out and still the same problem. We pulled one of the other guys Mass Air flow and plugged it in and it still ran like crap. I then changed out my Fuel filter, it ran good for about 2 min and then it started to act up again. I just took my tank apart and my pick ups are fine. ( I have an 15 gal cell on the back):cuss: Ok so now I am thinking its my fuel pressure regulator? Any one ever have an issue with there's before? Any other ideas?

I am draining the tank and going to put some new gas in it to see if that helps, but I think it something else???

Start with basics, plugs&wires,distributor cap.

You can also clean the air intake with some throttle body cleaner.

try a better air filter and u probably over loaded ur air filter if it ran fine then u cleaned it and oiled it. what oil did u use?

like he said start with basics. if ur fuel filter fixed the problem for a few minutes then thats maybe ur problem. maybe ur tank is major clogged? maybe someone put something in ur tank that u dont know about it

I drained the tank last night, and put new fuel in it and it ran way better. I still have a bit of a hicup when I drive at high speeds. It seems like the injectors or clogged or something. I am going to get a full tank of gas and put some BG 44k in her and run it tonight. I dont think its any of the basic stuff, I just did all of that less that 10k miles ago. I used K&N oil on my filter.

try octane booster from parts store. or like 105 octane in it and it burns any inpurities in ur gas and ur fuel system.

but dont do it too often it will blow ur engine. also rubbing alcohol works well as well i put a bottle and a half of alcohol in my gas and it ran like a dream passed emissions and all

Well I was going to take it out last night and I got a block away and it starting doing the same thing. I replaced plugs, wires and cap and still the same. I think its a fouled injector. I dont have time to check it out untill Montrose...I am leaving today! :cuss:
