A Master Mechanic and 4-wheeling friend of mine gave me some advice on how to seal my header. He suggested I take the header down and have the mounting surface machined flat and remount without a gasket. That this is how all modern cars work and that if the machining is flat it'll seal an dhave no problems. It makes sense to me since most new cars dont' use gasekts and neither does his CJ now after he did this to it.
