I'm sure a few of you have thought of this but what the hell. My cheap and easy jack mount. It took two half inch bolts 3" to 4" long, with nuts and fender washers and then 2 beefy thick washers 1/2 inch or bigger and 3 to 4 suspension bushings. I welded the two 1/2" nuts to the roll bar then welded the washers standing straight up to the bolts. Then used the suspension bushing to space it from the bar with the fender washers on top of the bushings. put a bushing on either side of the jack and no rattles and out of the elements. you might have cut a bushig or add more from another to get the angle right. I welded the first nut above the upper seatbelt mount the lower one i had to just guess. Remember your passengers so don't mount it too low mine has the top of the jack just barely away from the roof and the bottom of the jack just off the floor. Good luck and happy wheeling any Question feel free to email me at wifesaysimadumbass@yahoo.com

And if you don't wanna weld to the bar, use 2" muffler clamps and weld to them, then clamp to the bar. That's what I used to mount my CO2 bottle, WFLLT.

That's how I did it on mine as well. ;)

bones, is that an extra battery, or did you move the original one form the front there?

It's a second for a dual setup that never got installed. I will mount both under the flatbed of the new truck though. Go to my site for little write up on it.

I mounted my Hi Lift (48" I think) to the inside of the tailgate with their brand mounts. I just took off the carpet piece and drilled holes in the metal plate then cut holes in the carpeted panel and folded down that tip piece of the hi lift it fit perfectly (Or barely However you want to pu it) This way when I need I just drop the tailgate and unbolt it, plus it makes it a little harder to see for those thieving little SOB's around my place.

Theiving SOB's is right. Im in Puyallup (Spanaway/Parkland). I go to Spanaway Lake High School, and two of my friends Yoats's have been stolen in the area. One 2wd from the school parking lot in broad daylight. The other a 4wd from an Albertson's grocery store parking lot...in broad daylight. I'm half tempted to padlock my doors.

If it's a manual then just cut the wires going to the clutch switch so it wan't start even with the pedal depressed then put in a hidden switch or button that will connect them to start it, My camaro in high school had a switch behind the kickpanel, so you had to push in the kick panel with your foot to start it. it's simple and it works. My friend had his toy stolen from the movie theater in Renton, so now we're going to fix his truck up so only a few of us can start it.

Mine is on the other side but similar to this except I used the existing hole in the roll bar, works great. Then I ratchet strap the spare tire to the jack.

Too bad my spare is too talk to be set in verticle. I am in the process of making a mount for the spare and another one for the high lift.

You still running 35's? A 35 will stand up inside but you have to tilt it a little to get it in.

Also let some air out of it as well. My blad 36 would stand up, but it was easier to just lay it down and call it good. now I have zero room for a spare and it sucks

Yah its still 35's It just doesn't fit under the roll bar, My problem would be standing up and losing all my visibility. My last truck the red one with that chrome roll bar had the worst blind spots and I hate blind spots. I know it stands up but I am going to mount it semi laying down just to keep all the visibility.

I had my highlift mounted like that back in the day!
Then a girl that was riding back there cut her head open on it. Not too pretty, and now she doesn't want to go wheeling again with me.
I wonder why?

I mounted my 48" high lift on the rollbar in my 87 runner without welding. I do not have access to a welder so I just used 1 1/2" minerallac straps. They are an electrical conduit hanger that any supply house will have in stock. They are less than $1 each. I then used 1/2" hardware (bolts, washers, locknuts, wing nuts) to fasten the jack to the mounts. I sat it up as high as it will go in the front so no one hits their head on it and it has worked beautifully so far. Total cost ~ $5 and approximately 1/2 hour.
