OK, I'm having rear window problems with my 4runner, and I've been using various schematics to troubleshoot, but I'm having trouble finding a circuit breaker that seems to be refrenced pretty often. This should be on the constant +12v supply line (blue one).
Anyone know the physical location of this CB?
Thanks!

There is a large Relay box, and small 1 relay in the drivers side panel right behind the drivers door. The relay box is mounted stock such that if any water finds its way in, it fills up with water, and shorts. Least that's what mine did. I just yesterday stripped that circuit out of my 4 runner. Got rid of the hard top, and rear 4 runner gate. I have both relays, but I think they are in the trash bin. If you want them, let me know. I got one at a junkyard for $20 bucks, but Toyota charges like $200.

I've already swapped in a relay module (of unknown condition), and with that, since it didn't work, I just decided to bypass all the sensors, etc and make my own relay pack out of a pair of 30a relays. It's quite simple and cheap to do.
My real issue is that I was planning to tap off the factory harness there using the plug from one of the relay boxes, but the constant +12v line apears to not be playing well. I know with the relay module installed, that wire is seeing ground (probably via the relay malufunction) and I'm pretty sure this has popped, or damaged the breaker. I just don't know where it is physically to check/replace it. :( I could easily just run another hot wire, but I was ust trying to keep it clean. It's also good info to know for future t-shooting.
Thanks

Yeah, and on that site, specifically on the schematic at http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/Images/RearWindow01.gif , it shows a circuit breaker. This is the very circuit breaker that I'm trying to find the physical location of ;)

You do have "THE ONE" special bolt in place on your top right?

Uhmm... the special one? :Freak: Which one is that? I just put my top back on (not too cold, just too wet!) and my window won't work. And yes I was too lazy to put all the bolts back in.

HA HA HA!!!! I love it.....Every single body I know (including myself) has gone through this trauma.... Yes, there is a plunger on one of the holes on the drivers side that is a power switch. The rear window will not operate unless this bolt is in. It's the bolt hole on the drivers side, half way or 3/4 of the way to the rear!

I guess I could go put that in so my window will roll up, it's kinda raining. Thanks Johnny!
