I'm still dicking with my junk, and these little problems are really testing me... anyway, it's an 89 22re.
I'm looking for:
•a close up and roughting of the AC/vac lines to and from the idle up switch.
•The top 2 charcoal can lines(I think I got it, but to double check)
•the vac. advance (I think??) lines to and from the distrib.

Another question? I just put in new pistons/rings/cam/header and all that crap. I'm pretty sure I got my distributor off a tooth or 2 after trying to adjust another prob(long story). When I set it to TDC to stab it again, should it point right at or just before #1 fire??? The way it is now it did fire and I it's about -10* pluged in. It idles fine at about 900rpm, but if I rev it over 1700-2000rpm, it bogs and dies??? like it's not getting enough air??? That was last week and I just now got some time to work on it, and now it wont start...go figure!

Thanks for any help!

Thanks Rescue...

I peeked at it yesterday, and I got the charcoal can fixed. and the timing back (I hope) But sence the last time I worked on it and now, the battery is shot, and with a new one, it will turn over, but wont fire. I'm waiting for a buddy to get time to help see(he starts it and I check the plugs) if it's a spark or fuel problem... Never ends I tell you.

Oh and the lines I thought were off the dist. were off the power steering pump. but I'll get you a pic of the lines I have in question... that will be easier. I also found a thread on pirate with tons of motor pics and vac lines, and that helped some...

thanks

You can check the firing by yourself you know. Just insert a long screw driver or a wire and bring it at the corner of the hood where you can see the spark while cranking the engine...

As for fuel, check the blue wire at the connector beside the ECU with a test light. It should have power while cranking and engine running.

There are other things... opening relay, main relay, AFM switch, EFI fuse(15 amps)

Its weird that that the blue wire didn't get any current because of the 30 amp fuse. From my manual its not even used for that purpose unless it blew because of the AFM?...

I dont know, i checked all the fuses tried and tried to get it running then finally found that 30 amp stole one out of a old harness and now everything runs and works perfect i also found that very mind bogeling and strange...
