So i started on my timing chain change today and as i started taking things apart i started finding things that were totally screwed up:cuss:
There was a bolt sheared off at the oil pan, a bolt stripped at the water inlet, and worst of all the bolt thru the head into the cover was not there, that part of the cover was broken off and the hole thru the head filled with silicone!
Who the hell considers them selves intelligent enough to tear and engine apart but woul mess up all this crap and then throw it back together???:moon:
So does anyone know for sure exactly what size bolt i need for the head bolt?:Help: I have to go tomorrow to get a cover and all the broken, screwed up parts and have no idea what size this head into timing cover bolt is.... thanks guys

I would just go to a u pull it yard and grab the few blts you need I am pretty sure it is the same as most of the other engine accessorie 12mm bolts.

I am not sure on the length but the thread is 8mm x1.25mm (12mm socket for the head).
The most common Toyota threads are:

1- 6mm x 1.0mm
2- 8mm x 1.25mm
3- 10mm x 1.25mm
4. 12mm x 1.25mm
