First off, I don't have it installed yet because I'm still putting the motor together. But here is what I got.

350 (bored 30 over, completely rebuilt),
TH350 (completely rebuilt, + new torque convertor), short water pump, short water pump pulleys, B&M star shifter, B&M TH350 shifter lever kit, TH350 to toy transfer case adapters, shorten rear driveline, lengthen front driveline, tranny cooler, A modified radiator or remove your core support or mount your radiator somewhere else, bucket seats, motor mounts,.... and a pair of rock sliders...

I already have the motor mounts! so if you want I can maybe have one of the Millwrights at work make you a copy of mine! say for $65 plus shipping. and the sliders. there optional....I made those for mine while I was waiting for parts to show up. I almost have my rear bumper done also.

I installed bucket seats so I could put the B&M star shifter between the seats. There just doesnt seem to be enough room where the stock shifter was. I'll Just fill the hole up with a piece of sheet metal, or maybe Ill fabricate a cup holder out of it!

Good luck!

A 360? Why don't you just stick with a 350? Parts are probably cheaper for the 350 anyways!

I have no Idea whether the motor mounts are the same or not! To think of it, I dont remember ever seeing motor mounts for that conversion. That would strictly be a "Fly by the seat of your pants" thing. But not yet impossible!

I could be wrong though! Happens once in a while :) Maybe someone else will chime in here!

Well! That definently is the cheap way! You have a great start there! Now all you need is a radiator and a cooler for your tranny. Probably gonna need to custom drill some holes to mount your drivelines on the trasnfer case. I dont know anything about the Wagoneers. is the front drive shaft output on the correct side of the transfer case?

At least your off to a good start with your parts inventory. You wont even need any tranny adaptors.

ya im thinking im off to the correct start, i could probably get the whole rig if i pushed hard, but im just gratefull for wat i am getting. id really like to keep toyota running gear, well atleast frame, and cab. Im thinkin bout puttin dana 44's. but im not sure im just kind of seeing wat i should do, should i keep it on the jeep frame(even though i hate jeeps) or try and put it on the toyota frame?

Ed, Where did you get the motor mounts from? I have a 88 v6 4runner that I'm planning on putting a 350 in. I've seen the Downey ones since I'm helping my buddy put a 350 in his 88 v6 4runner too. I might be interested in a set.

Also, what headers do you plan on running?

I bought my motor mounts used off ebay. They look similar to the one Downey Sells.

I am not quite sure what headers I am going to use. I am going to set the motor in the truck and then check for clearance and weigh my options. If I cant use a set of block huggers i am going to get a set of those slick fits downey sells.

Downy short headers are only good if you set the exhaust up right. When I had IFS I was running those, as well as the downy conversion motor mounts. I went through two sets of the headers, both cracked because I didn't HANG the exhaust so there wasn't a stress load on the header. Both sets cracked where the rear exhaust port meets the collector. 2years ago I got rid of the IFS, and went to Corvette ramhorns.

When I went to Corvette ramhorn manifolds, they dumped right into my Downy conversion mounts, so I decided to change them. Good thing I did, because there were hairline cracks around the welds at the frame. I wouldn't recommend them after seeing that. I ended up buying NOVAK conversion weld on mounts, and re-doing my mounts as well. www.novak-adapt.com
They sell Jeep conversion mounts mainly, but they were cheaper than anybody else, and I just changed the mounts a little to make them work. For sure they would have some that mount up to your AMC 360. The ones I bought pretty much look like those in the above picture.

I have the Downy conversion headers if anybody's interested, I would even weld up the few cracks before selling them? Make me an offer???

I also have pictures of my mounts / exhaust, if anyones interested, I just cant post pics.

those motor mounts look the exact same as my ones from advance adapters.

Do you have any pics of your mounts welded in? Also pics of your distributor to firewall clearance? I got my 350 bolted in yesterday but it seems like its sitting to high, Air cleaner hitting the hood and what not. I leveled the transmission and trasnfer case out, and Its sitting about 1.5" higher than the factory trasnfer cas mount and 2" back.

I seriously thinking of abandoning the custom radiator and just mounting the radiator in the rear. so I can continue to use the factory trasnfer case mount and not have to lengthen the shafts.

spider one of my friends did a 350 swap and it looked excelent....He still ran a factory crossmember, all be it iwas flipped around and had to holes drilled into the frame... but it used two factory holes. It used a hei distribitor and a alluminum becool radiator with aluminum anglewelded to the sides of it and spacers to bolt it to the core support just right. He ran a short pump and a electric fan, never had cooling problems and fit very well. His motor mounts were like the advanced ones, but he just drilled a hole in the frame and used shock type bushings. It was the niceste swap i have seen done, and it even used factory hood latch.

hope this helps
