IM thinking about buying this 2000 4runner limited, its got all the options, but it has 101k miles which concerns me, because its only 4 years old. Thats quite a bit of miles. Its at a dealership, and ive seen the tech's report, cause my buddy works there. Nothing struck me as major problems, just comon things, light bulbs burned out ect. It looks clean no damage to inside or out. Just thought id ask if anyone here has had any issues with high mileage 4runners. Oh BTW my offer was 14 grand

You can't go wrong with any kind of Toyota, I think. But I'd really look close in the engine bay and underneath the truck and make sure it hasn't been wrecked. Most likely it hasn't but you never know. Also see if there is any proof of any Vehicle Maintenance reports or reciepts especially with that many miles. If all the servicing has been done on schedule you'll be just fine buying the Runner, anyway hope this helps and good luck. Wes

If it has a clean history, there's nothing at all to be concerned about. I'm also on pace to be around 100k after 4 years on mine.

The only issue with 2000's related to the fuel gauge reading reading being off, sometimes way off. TSB EL010 addresses this. Other than that potential issue, you should be good to go.

ok a follow up here.....

The dealership put a new timing belt, water pump, and a few other small things, but i drove it it is very tight and clean, everything works perfect, the engine is clean, no visable leaks underneath, very clean rig. They say all they can do is 17,500 out the door with tax and liscince included
