gas gauge

my gas gauge has quit on me. what my have caused this and how can i fix it? thanks.

It may be your gas gauge sending unit has crapped out on you. I dont know much about how to fix it, get a new unit I guess, but that would be the first thing I would look into.

check the voltage at the fuel gauge on the gas tank(yellow/red wire) if there is voltage, then either you have a bad ground, the yellow wire is cut somewhere or the fuel meter is defective.

Proceed to the combo meter ,if you found voltage at the tank. check the fuel meter.

If you have no power at the tank replace fuel gauge.
