I saw a write-up in the new issue of 4Wheeler magazine the other day in the 'Cheap Tricks" section.

It was for the Napa tractor lights they sell, and to turn them into nice back-up lamps.
They explained how to replace the supplied 50 w lens with a 100 w one.
I am running just the 50 w ones, and they are very bright.

My lights do hang down a little lower than I care for, but I am getting a custom rear bumper made up later which will sit up higher.
The lights will be made to fit up higher giving me more ground clearance.

I put them on Monday morning, and did a small write-up on them.

Those lights work great as rock lights as well, I personally over did it, I have a set for back up lights and then three sets under my body ( front, center, and rear) as rock lights.

i did a different version of a good back up light.
You can get a cheap 50w fog light replacement bulb from pep boys or checker. It has the same base as most back up bulbs in you regular housing. They are diffused a bit by the cover but they are really bright and don't get banged on things.

i have the same 50w lights in the stock housing. one thing i did was to get a can of chrome spray paint & paint the entire inside of the housing, reverse light seperator & all. let me tell you that my lights can be seen for quite a distance now. especially the backup lights. next is to wire a switch so i can turn the backup's on those people who think tailgating's cool!!!

just stop put it in reverse and drive up on their hood

but I did the brighter lights in my stock locations and it works great

just don't leave em on long enough to melt the lens:D
