I would check closely around your maf and connecting intake tubes to the intake manifold, sounds like it maybe sucking air some where in there also maybe check your fire wall quick disconnect plugs (elec connectors).
I had a similar condition when I r/r'd my tranny ended up I knocked a connector off on re-install.
Happy hunting

im not the smartest with toys, and i dont quiet under stand wat ill be looking for please help me out:Help:
the connectoers under ur hood and near ur tranny against ur firewall. there green and usualy got 2 wires going in and out. or u can buy a $*(#^ chilton and try to check the wire diagrams.
or if u really lucky ( which this is what i think happend) u got the fire order wrong on ur distributor cap or ur cap is on wrong or u distributor is in wrong.
check the plug back to the coil. that way u know its getting spark. also check ur fuses make sure the coil fuse is good there the BIG square ones under ur hood in the fuse box one is green and one is pink 30 amp and 40 amp. also check the rest of the fuses to be sure nothing else is up. if ur still having problems
id check the fuel system to be honest
did u change anything on the engine or did u just drop it in with it all put together in running order
???????
if u have any other ? let me know man

i went to start my truck up to put it in the shop and amazingly it started better, but the second time it was a lil harder, it doesnt do the hit 2800 rpms and just take off but it still runs a lil rough till it hits 1400 is that normal? how do i check for a vacume leak? wat would be the easiest way? thanks:Thumbsup:

When I go v leak or intake leak huntin I use wd or any type penatrating oil with the motor runing squirt a small amount on the jointed sections of tubing first and check for any change in idle speed on intake side typically the motor will idle up if its sucking through a crack on vac leaks it may idle up down orjust suck the oil into the offending hole. or you could start disconnecting and reconnecting tubes noting any differences in idle smoothness both are painstackingly slow :snail: process's but accurate as hell just remember to go slow and keep your eyes and ears open
I'm sure these aren't the only way's but it is a start:p:
again happy hunting
