Just trying to get some input before I drop two grand on this setup. I want to get some opinions from some people running this. Are you happy with the kit as far as quality, durability and the amount of flex. I am looking at getting the kit with the 4inch springs and I have a three inch body lift. Body lift is on to clear the 5m. Could I run the new 38" boggers with this. Thanks for any input

i have been running their springs for a few years now,and have been happey with them.its the 5.5 in.springs, flex is ok and ride is good.i also have the hanger and font shackels too, they work great.i use the all-pro steering too,but did not buy the extreme kit,i got cheaper shocks and mounts.

I also run their 5.5's and a 3"BL and my junk is Way tall! I run 37's and have enough room to run 44's if I wanted to... You should be right as rain with the 4"ers and 38"s. I'm looking at my options to drop 2-3"s somewhere this summer. But I also want to 4 link it... So I haven't put alot of effort into it yet...

They flex good after they're broken in a bit. As far as leafs go, I'd only run theirs or AOR's/alcans for the Millitary wrap factor.

But you will be pretty tall when finished... JMO

mine or the 5.5 springs with the axle moved over 2 in.foward and with 37x12.50 ssr's it still is not enough with out cutting out some of the floorboards to keep from locking.but i have no body lift either...

I personally think the kit has some stuff you don't need. They make good stuff, but I'd just buy the parts you need. Expensive shock mounts and shocks, and $100/pr for shackles are some items that come to mind. New front crossmember? Seems unnecessary. U-bolt flip kits aren't necessary, either, but new u-bolts will be needed. Get a IFS mount kit from Fabricator on this board or from FROR, or build your own.

Hy-steer $459
IFS mount kit $59
Homemade shackles $20
Springs $469
Ford shock mounts $30
Shocks $150
U-bolts $60
Steering stabilizer $50
Brake lines $80

About $400 cheaper than the extreme kit.

a buddy of mine is running the 5.5 inch lift from allpro on a 91 p/u without a BL and clears 38.5 sx's no problem.

Thanks for your input. I think I am gonna go the cheaper route on my lift. I am gonna go links one day anyhow. Would rather not spend 2k on a lift. Going to go rears up front and chevys since I already have all of that. Thanks again.

Pirate (I know, sorry everyone) has a wealth of info on this swap. The guys over there can be SOBs, but the FAQ section is great. Go to this (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=173918) page, and Ctrl+f search for "rears". There's a bunch of info and links to some great write-ups.

Basically, you need to take the rear springs and add a few leaves from some front springs or some other springs of similar width. Your axle will end up 2.5" forward from stock.
