here's what I've been up to: upgrades

while I rebuilt my 84 pickup front axle and knuckles, I decided to upgrade the brakes: ventilated & cross drilled rotors, v6 calipers, ss lines, landruiser m/c, two stage v6 brake booster, etc. Here's what it looks like:

Navydood, I'd love to clean out my mail box. In fact I've deleted everything in it several times but it does'nt seem to take. Sorry I don't know what else to do. I will say that I cross drilled the rotors myself(and a machinist friend who is a genious).

Okay I'm back. The rotors I used are from a landcruiser fj60. The calipers are from an 89 4runner(4 large pistons:p ). The master cylinder was from a 95 landcruiser( made my own wiring harness to facilitate sensors by splicing the existing wires to the new cap wires). I did the m/c upgrade so I could move more fluid (1" bore) so when I do my rear disc brake upgrade, it will be affective. The truck stops on a dime as it is though!:Rockonman Like I said before we triged out and drilled and champhered the rotors ourselves( saved about $200 ). Also I rebuilt my solid axle and knuckles. Built an open differential breather block(elevated) using some nissan threaded nipples(ouch that must hurt:kidding: ) part #38323-c6010. machined the aluminum breather block and mounted it to the engine bay. I used a threaded fuel filter to keep any mud that might splash from getting in the block. It's alot of stuff but I wasn't doing much anyway!

Thanks! It was fun but required alot of patience. Yes BOBCAT it is too pretty I'll fix that this spring!!!!!!!!!!!!
