hey guys whats up?? i am new to the wildyoats board. well i have been lurching for a while but i finally registered. i really like the board, we need to get this cruiser section rolling

what do you guys have?? i have been over at pirate a lot and there is a ton of cool tech stuff there, but i have noticed a lot of people on this board are from Utah, like me.

what are the specs on your cruisers? i have a 76' 40 with d44/14bolt/tbi305/th350/np205
i enjoy built cruisers, and would enjoy mine more if i would ever get in done.

but i like bone stock cruisers too. what do you guys have done??

i know of three four other cruiser guys in my area, i am in Roy, right around Ogden.

where are you guys from??
what shops do you go to?? i am always looking for new places to visit. we have been going to rocklogic a lot, anyone go there?? really cool guys in SLC, especially to me a punk highschool kid with little/no money

also cruiser outfitters, way cool guys, really reasonable.

so lets here it :Rockonman

hey there is nothing wrong with 35's i say if you gott'em wheel'em

sounds cool, factory has a lot of cool stuff, but i get a little better deals at rock logic. but there is nothing wrong with factory t.

we need to get more people on this board. my cruiser needs a lot of stuff, but i feel it has a lot of one off stuff, like outboard spring hangers for the front courtesy of Proffitts cruisers (WAY COOL CRUISER GOD!!) but my bumper and crossmember and stuff. it was a lot cooler til i put the 37's on my DD. so now my cool cruiser is on 31in dually tires:rolleyes:

but in a few weeks i hope to start the fron end rebuild and build a rear swing out bumper,

how do you post pics on this site anyhow?? maybe i will throw some pics up

Welcome newbie:beer: O wait I'm a newbie to  At least to this BB
I'm here in Clearfield you may have seen my Cruiser a round in the summer time. Its a 82 FJ40 White with TSL SX 35x15.5s

Let me know when you figure that pic. thing out (if I figured it out anyone can) I have a 78-70 toy-77 3/4 ton chevy that I would like to build into one rig and would like any ideas :D

hey cool, i actually havent seen your cruiser around. do you drive it a lot or just summer or what?? i have only seen Adam's (wasatch cruiser pres) green cruiser, that thing is bad ass.

hey you said about your chevy tow rig/wheelin thing, let me reccomend ORD's rear shackle flip, i just got done with a SAS on my 93' 250 and mine is from SKY-MANUFACTURING.COM becuase mine is a ford, but the rear shackle flip is the coolest thing yet, my truck rides so nice in the back. do that rather that blocks

ok i dont have wheelin pics as i just bought my cruier last summer, it's a guys project but i got a restored body (NO rust :Rockonman ) TBI 305, th350, np205. i have done a lot of work and i still have a lot of work, but i love this thing and i havent even drove it yet. when i hauled it home it has a 4x4 going through the windows with a chain and the board was holding up the hole tranny/t-case combo. (my dad was disgusted with what i bought) but now it's almost done, need d shafts, brakes, shocks, steering and a few essentials but it runs and sound good

i paid 2500 for it with 37's for a extra 300

let me give the pics a shot

Hi all.
I just thought I would mention I finished rebuilding the 80's front axle along with doing all the maint. the PO decided they wouldnt do last few weeks
Now Im working on the 40, I need to rebuild the carb, adding a HEI dist., wires, I think I need to have the radiator replaced or something, It keeps overheating, :Puke: I should make a fan shroud too.
Im sure there will be other things I will come up with once I get into it a bit more:Rockonman
Have fun:beer:

FullsizeYota you got any pics of how you hooked the spring to the frame? I picked up a D44 for the front the other day and need to see a couple diffrent ways to mount the springs.:Rockonman

Brian glad to see you working on the 40

Hi Clayton.
I have 44 Spring over, I could email you a few pics if you have any idea of what area you might need.
I use to have one of the awful bolt on shackle reversal set-ups, DJ did it the right way, welded the new shackle mount to the frame instead of puting a tube through the frame, It added about 2 inches to the lift.
Good luck

Hi .
Mine are cut down but I think the hangers and all should be about the same idea.
I will get a few and email tonight, I will keep the file size somewhat small.
Have fun:beer: :Rockonman

My Junk: Called Live Rust because Neil Young Rocks! and Live Rust is a killer live album (and there is admittedly some rust on the cruiser).

Newbie attempt at posting picture here.

Figured out the camera with no trouble at all but my PC choked on the software. Now I have a few cards full of pics and can't do anything with them. PC still isn't quite the same. Can't even use my scanner now. It's starting to mess with the wife though so it looks like an upgrade is in the near future. See, good can come from bad... tehehe
