I have an 85 runner withn the 22re. Has any body ever heard of a timing chain juming teeth? I can't find anything that will cause it to run bad like it is? A mechanic was listening to it and mentioned the timing chain? Any ideas? Also I already put in a D.O.A. timing chain kit.

What do you mean by juming teeth?? what does the engine do? does is rattle when you start it up then quiets down, what kind of noise etc...

if you want to inspect the chain remove the valve cover and rotate the engine with a 19mm socket on the crank pulley. check the tension, its not a very good indication but it could be loose or worn and or missing teeth on the sprocket...with a flash light look at the tensioner and plastic sides to see if they are worn out.

After going back and checking the connections I found one of my injector plugs was loose when I snaped it back on it ran great. Thanks anyways though.
