Ok, what do you guys reccomend for a header for my '81 pu with a stock 22r? Should I keep the smog stuff? It all seems to be working fine, but the headers without smog fittings seem to be cheaper. I dont want a really cheap thin header that's just going to rust thru, but the high end ones are like $400. Any ideas? Thanks....

look at thorley, pacesetter, downey... those are the first three taht came to my mind.

I've got a Downy that is about as old as I am, no problems until I got it under water when it was really hot:no no: Welded the hole and it was good to go!

What about lc engineering? They make a stainless 14 gauge header for $290... sounds good, has anyone tried it? The NWOR one is $390, and the downey is $340, and both are chromed, not stainless. Is the stainless more likely to stress crack?
