you guys with big lifts on your solid axle toyotas, do you ditch the trac bar upfront? Do they make longer ones?

Are the leafs enough control for a strickly trail vehicle?

thanks again.

Yes, yes

I took mine off and it's fine, but they do make kits for lift. It(the sway bar) helps a little, but not that much.

They make an S shaped dropped torque rod for lifted trucks but, if it's strictly a trail vehicle, you probably won't miss it, however with the increased travel, your stock push/pull style steering will put additional stress on the stock J (drivers side steering arm) arm that's been known to break:eek: . That's why everybody converts to cross over steering. Has anybody ever flipped the ball stud on the stock arm to the top in order to lessen the stock drag link angle and how well has it worked for them? I'm in the process of doing that to mine as a temporary measure until I can gather up the necessary parts (and funds! ) to convert to cross over steering. It took over 20 tons of pressure to get that ball stud out!........Hans

Does it make me a idiot if my answer has nothing to do with the question? Here I am going on about sway bars when the topic is trac bars.

You know what gets me, I got the idea from a Northwest offroad catalog, they sold flipped arms like the one I modified (for $389! ). Hmm, maybe that's why they're no longer selling them:rolleyes:
