when you cut the horseshoe crossmember does it affect structual integrity in any way? i'm getting a budbuilt x member for christmas with a 1" drivetrain lift and this looks as easy as beating it with a bfh

You can just trim it a bit. If you have any b/l you won't need to. I have a 3" b/l with the Bud Built w/ 1" drivetrain lift and no problems, The rear shaft vibrates a little.

If you have dual cases you may need to trim a little. I have a 2in lift on my crossmember and ended up cutting it all off

i have the 1.5" lift x-member on the truck with the 302 in it. with the ford motor and trans and duel t-cases i didn't need to cut the hoarse-coller, but my driveshaft rubbed on the gas tank skidplate. my t-cases are pushed back almost 5"

I cut mine out completley and havent had any problems...... The way I see it (I have beefy sliders) the sliders reinforce the frame and the x member is way stronger than toyota ever thought.....

I have a 3" body lift and 2"drive lift with Budbuilt X-member
