Hi, first post here. I came across a early 4x4 PU that the seller is calling a Trek. It is basically a early PU but what looks like a fiberglass cap molded into the body. I am looking for any info for this vehicle, It would be in good company with my 82 4wd SR5.

Is the cab seperate from the bed??
What kinda opening is between the bed and the cab??

I am far from an expert on them, but that doesn't look like the top I have seen on them in the past. slightly different side window. just make sure it is real or don't pay extra. I imagine these will be worth something in the future if it is authentic.

If I remember correctly (and I am getting old and all), there was two different versions of this conversion. A Trekker and a Trailblazer. I dont know which came first. They are both basically conversions carried by a seperate company. They took the stock Toyota truck and converted it. I do believe Winnebago had something do with it. Essentially it is just a truck with a fiberglass top and conversion pieces. I still like though and would love to have one just because they are so unique.

Good luck with it.

Winnebago made the trekker. And it is all fiberglass.
That looks like the trail blazer since the roof line is higher. Unless the top is aftermarket. I could tell you for sure if you had an ass end shot of it.

I looked at one at a junkyard(!) recently and they are completely open between the cab and the rear, and I believe that the top is fiberglass and the bed is the stock steel bed. The floor in the bed is a bit higher than the bed in the cab. The junkyard that had it was farrell's auto wrecking in Mt. Vernon, WA for anyone interested.

It needs to not be there, they made very few.

That's what I thougt, this one was reasonably straight (no engine, i think) but not missing anything irreplaceable. I already have an 81 and 82 pickups, so I dont need any more in my fleet. someone should really check it out.

You ought to make sure that junk yard understands what they have, or post their number.
