Exactly if only I had 31k just lying around. I added up all of what I have earned in my life so far and I would only be short 9k dollars. Just shows how much of a poor college student I really am. Plus I wouldn't want to scrap that nice of a SUV. I guess that is what dreams are for.

Ah yes. but one fine day after you finish that college education and you have that degree in your hands you'll land an awesome job that will allow you to purchase one....

i wouldnt want a car that nice or new. they are too much trouble and you would feel really bad if u slammed a rock on your door or something. It probably isnt good at wheeling either. An old yuppie car. i mean you see those expensive forged rims? those weigh like a million pounds and dont do well off-road.

yeah, your right, the factory selectable lockers front and rear do NOTHING for off road capability. nope. just a yupie mobile:rolleyes:

and those forged rims, yeah, heaven forbit you want your truck to look nice. and FYI, they are lighter than steel wheels.

if i had the ability to take out a loan to buy this i would in a hearbeat. if i had $31K i would be on a plane to pick it up. that would be a great DD/ trail rig, especially up here arround me.

An obvious opinion based on zero knowledge of FZJ80's

1. Much bigger birfs than a mini...
2. Hi-pinion front diff (8")
3. Much bigger rear diff (9.5")
4. OEM E-Lockers!
5. Very stout drivetrain 1FZ-FE and auto trans
6. Coils suspension, decent aftermarket lift options, infinite custom options.

I have watched these trucks handle Pritchett, the Rubicon, with ease... yes they are expensive, but they work! They are used all over the world (Antartica, Africa, etc) as rugged work trucks... add some leather and trim and you have the same thing here in the states...

Oh yeah, FJ80's are the bomb and I WILL one day have one to build. 80's were one of the first to have front and rear electric lockers from the factory.

The 6 cyl. engine are NOTORIOUS for their longevity and are quite torqey. Slap a after market turbo or supercharger on it and you have quite the rig too.

I wont hesitate at all to purchase one when the right one comes along and I have a spare spot in the garage which I dont have now....

Awesome rigs... my.02:xmas:

Hi all.
That is a sweet rig, I think you could find a slightly used FZJ80, Like myself and build it up to what they have for the same or less money...Depending on what they have and you want?
GOOOOOD lookin thought:yes:
