ok. So i got a question. So i'm wondering if i should get 2.25 exhaust w/ a freeflow cat w/ my header or to not get the 2.25 at all. Cuz do i really need the 2.25 pipe AFTER my cat? I figure i'll have just as much power w/ just the header AND freeflow cat... ANy ideas? Thanks.

eeerrr, I took the exhuast off my truck and the noise was cool for 2 weeks, then I hated it with a firy passion! haha, yeah, i'd put some type of muffler on their (i went with flowmaster).

ive been driving exhaustless for almost a year now. actually it has only been like 9 months, but still. it is liveable, as long as you have a stereo cappable of drownig it out.

Do it once and do it right. Header, 2.25 pipe ALL THE WAY, free flow cat and a muffler. I run a Dynomax, very mellow yet nice tone to it, but nothing I am reaching for the Tylenol for after a day of wheeling.

My other view on the noisy exhaust is - Why attract more attention to yourself from the law. Just a thought. (if you do drive this on the street that is)

Quiet (but low and rumbly) exhausts are good: You'll never know if something is broken, or dragging, if all you can hear is your exhaust. Same goes for noises from the motor.

Make it beefy, but make it somewhat quiet.

Yeah. It really sucks when you are out on the nice quiet serene trail and all you hear is someones freaking exhaust... Go quiet you wont regret it.
