I was on my way to work this morning and my truck just quit with no warning at all and it was like I just turned the key off. It'll turn over just like normal but it wont start. I've checked all my connections and just wandering if there's anything I could look for? Thanks

It would most likely have to be something to do with the ignition system. Check for spark, check for fuel, those are the 2 big things you NEED!.

if you are efi you can make some easy checks for fuel like see if the 15 amp efi fuse is good and try to feel if the fuel tank bracket is intact (it has a ground on it) if your bed isnt all there this is easy if your bed is good ill give you 500 for the whole truck:D

if its fuel injected I would check out them silver relays down by the fuse box. I had one come out one time and the damn thing wouldnt start.

I would think if it was a fuel pump it would have sputtered a couple times before it died. Mine does that when it runs out of gas. (found out the other day).

of course like everyone else says, check for spark, thats the best place to start.

Check the coil wire, or spark plugs- The same thing happened to me in MOAB recently, a plug wire brushed up against my header and shorted it (just died while driving)... I little electrical tape and it's as good as new.

Coould be toyota curse maybe it jumped time, I had an 87 22r did this 3 times. Once on the way to work and twice on the trail. I had to be towed home by A JEEP oh the agony then i sold the truck shortly. I would check the timing.

check the battery connections. on my 85 even if it was tight it needed to be really tight for it to work:rolleyes: it was a pain in the a$$:p

I pulled my 94 Toy home last night and started looking for the problem and come to find out the fuel pump wasnt working so we ran a lead from the battery to the pump and it fired right up so we checked the relay under the hood but it was good so is there anything between the relay beside the battery to the fuel pump I should look for?

check that 15 amp efi fuse. if it is blown then there must be a short some where and there is more than a little bit of circuit involved w/ the fuel pumps power. try to find a wiring diagram (preferbly a toyota ewd) some dealerships are nice and will let you look.

oh, i guess there arent many dealerships around you sorry.:(
if i knew more w/ my computer i would post them....
just remember check the simpler things first.
