On my newly rebuilt engine [22RE] I swapped in a late model plenum and throttle body. Everything seems to be ok except for some problem with the EGR system. It will cough or hiccup when run at 3k for a short time. After which it will idle rough. With the EGR disconnected it doesn't seem to happen. The valve itself is fine, the modulator is ok but I changed it anyway. My only guess now is that the vacuum routing is somehow different or maybe the late model has a different modulator??

Anyobody do this swap and have a similar problem??

If it is a 85 I have a shop manual I might be able to help with the vacuum lines .

Thanks, I have an '85 manual also. I got the vacuum diagram for a '90 from the dealer. Kinda small but you can make out most of it. Just trying to figure out if they made some weird change that would be hard to spot.
