Two things: are there any bucket seats (Toyota or otherwise) that will swap sraight in to an '80 Toy? My bench seat is thrashed and the price of reupolstering is ridiculous. Also, I was talking to the previous owner of my truck this weekend, he said a company in the '80's supercharged the 20R any truth to this? If so, what was the name of the company.

If i remember correctly Downey off road in Souther california
or Northwest off road my have. The question you need to ask the board is will a supercharger work good off road? I would think you want tork at low rpm than hp at high rpm . About the seat
I just had my stock buckets in my 82 recoverd for 150.00 out here in AZ. Ask mor questions about the supercharger.

a s/c will offer more low end torque as opposed to a turbo. that doesnt mean it would be a better idea than more displacement. check out the stuff recently floating around about the 7mge swap. i think that would be cheaper than a s/c and provide more overall improvement in drivability.

you know that Supra engine really does seem like a great idea, the only thing is that I was under the impression that it won't fit in the early body style, mine's an '80. But yeah, keep it Toyota where it counts is my mantra. Thanks.

Yea, a B & M Blower...about those bucket seats, you have to line up the toyota buckets with existing mounting holes, and drill 4 holes in the center of the rest of the mounting holes.
