View Full Version : front driveshaft - what's best?
Ready to get a front driveshaft for my 'runner. What's the best way to go, have the stock cv-jointed shaft lengthened and longer splines installed, or just have a new one built from scratch. Some of my buddies are using Chevy cv's, some toyota. Just wanted a little input from some of you more experienced in this area.
Thanks!

It may be cheaper to have a new one completely made up. Tom Woods is just 45 minutes away!:D

make sure you clearance your ifs cv if thats what your using, a 84/85 front shaft is best if you don;t want to clearance you cv since it will have the same bolt pattern in the flangers from 84+

High Angle Driveline. Link's already been posted. Jess's quality makes Tom Woods look like a waste of money.
Unless you build one yourself, that's the ONLY way to go. :D

If you are looking for a driveline shop to lengthen your current Toyota driveline, I have been VERY pleased with GRS Driveline. They did work on my front and rear drivelines, and I haven't had a single problem with them. So far they have done a better job than Six States and had decent prices.
