ive been told the tundra runs 7.5 as well as my 86 4runner so i was wondering if its possible to put tundra axles in the front of my 4runner. i dont plan on ever doin a sas so please dont just reply by saying swap it.

Are you referring to the CV axles? You do realize the Tundra is a tad wider than your 4runner right?

Doubtful... the Tundra is so much wider than the older toyotas that I would **GUESS** the CV shafts were a different length.

Did you miss the memo saying that IFS is retarded? Because I think I have it around here somewhere... *rummages through desk*

:D :D :D

i guess dont be hurt by tntoy. that is apparently his "style" i dont think he means to offend. i would be surprised if it was the same dif b/c the 4.7 is 3x more power! but it may be the same axle spline ct/size?

I think I see what you trying to do. you want to swap in a Tundra halfshaft because in theory the actual shaft should be similar or the same in lenghth, but stronger. Its the actual Diff housing and shaft housing that would be wider not the halfshaf., unless the difference between knuckle to suspension is wider( I doubt it would be much if any). The best way to find out would be to go to your partshouse have them pulll both Halfshafts and compare with measure tape and calipers.
Good luck

i doubt any parts store is going to stock what you want to compare. if that is what you are trying to do you need a friend at a dealer or a junkyard. well everyone needs that anyway:D
