crazy 4x4 stories

I just wanna hear some of your more exciting 4x4 experiences.

I'll start off. It was a sunday and me and my friend took my newly aquired truck out to the wash. At the time my truck had 29 inch street slicks :( with a 6 inch lift it looked stupid. So anyway my friend shows me a pit he wanted me to go through so i hit it at about 15 mph and immidiatly sink in the goo. we tried to get it out for an hour before my friend came and tugged me out with his toyota :) .

how is that crazy? 2 days after I got my 83 Toy I was wheeling and going threw a ravine (mind you my tires have no treads at all they are slick) It was pouring rain and there was alot of mossy rocks. I slide on a rock and rolled it up on its side. I got out flipped it back over with the come-along and kept going. 5 minutes later I was going through another ravine on 2 wheels teeter tottering back and forth and made it fine.

Well we were out playing in the beaumont area.. as always the toyota is in the front.. just in case the chevys can't do it :D well anyways.. i was going up this pretty mellow hill little loose but stupid me was trying it in 4Hi locked in the rear bogged out ofcourse.. i think i tried it again in low but in too high of a gear.. got to the top of this little ridge and the truck stalled:eek: :eek: now since i've put my lift on my e-brake doesn't function properly.. so as i was rolling backwards down this say 50 - 60 feet of hill i was thinkin to my self that e-brake won't work... rolling rolling rolling..... hit the transision.. by this time i was goin a good 30 MPH finally got the truck started and mashed the breaks.. WHEW!!! LOOKED IN MY REAR VEIW MIRROR.. GUESS WHAT I SEE.. A JEEP WITH HIS FAMILY IN HIS JEEP JUST SITTIN THERE... the guy just watched me roll backwards down this hill along the flat ground and about 4 inches from his jeep.. and didn't do a thing. i think some of my friends let him know how lame that was..

ofcourse right after that threw the yota in 2nd gear and went up the hill

parked 3 days-pak rat made house in bell house-fired up to leave
noise,smells then smoke,then complete slippage-thought i had water or mud in my clutch,when i saw blood and fur i realized i had rodent in my clutch-ruined every thing,worst clutch job i've ever done-fork boot is great idea

I had just got a 93 Nissan single cab p/u with a three inch body lift & 2 inch susp. lift I think. It was JAKKED sitting on 33s. This was my 1st 4x4 and I was psyched to go diggin. I couldn't find anyone to tag along being all my friends as was I are low rider freaks. So I take off on this rainy a$$ night to this offroading area called Horse Lake. Its nearly 11PM so there is nobody up in there playing. I had every run all to myself. I started up the main road and right away found my 1st good trail. It was two trails in one basically. The left one was easy looking and the right one went at a major angle. I was all thinkin screw the easy sissy trail Im goin balls to the wall on the right trail. I was not familiar with the 4wheel drive shifter yet so I just knew how to shift but didn't know what was what. I ended up in 4high and from a stand still crept up this trail. I got half way up and got ballsy giving it mopre throttle. Next thing I knew the front end slid to the left where a 1 or 2 foot deep rutt was. I was on the brakes sitting sideways on this trail. I start thinking $hit what do I do. If I opened my door to look at where I was I would fall out and down the trail that was pretty damn steap. So... I moved the 4wheel drive shifter into 4low and crept over in an angle across this rutt bringing myself onto the sissy trail where I belonged. Scary $hit though, bout $hit my panties that night.
