Where to go in Colorado?

I am planning on going to Colorado in September or October. This is my first time to go. I was thinking of staying in Colorado Springs and renting a car. Any help would be much appreciated.

What brings you here??? Springs is a great place to check out... While you're there take drive up 24 through the canyon. Cave of the winds is there and Garden of the Gods...

Ton of guys live there that are on the board, mabie PM your dates and might jump in on a trail ride.....

If you come out do it in Sept....Oct sucks. It starts to get cold in Oct and it really blows chowder. Plus in Sept you may have a chance to see the Aspens turn Yellow!! Its really cool looking.

Lets see.... Pikes Peak is always fun, Garden of the Gods is a hot spot, Cave of the Winds, 7 Falls......hmmm the list goes on.

Me and at least 2 other Yota guys will be in Colorado in August. We will be doin a 5-6 day wheelin trip, going somewhere different everyday. We will hit Holy Cross first then start traveling from there.

I posted this on Rockcrawlin.com as well hoping to get another guy or 3 to go with us and show us around.

I have always wanted to travel to Colorado. It seems like an outdoor lovers paradise with an endless list of things to do. This would be my first time to see some real mountains.

I was thinking about the middle of September. What is the weather like then? I am from the South so it is hot here until October.

I would like to meet up with someone from there, and get some ideas on where to go and what to do. Maybe even tag along on a trail ride.

The weather in Sept is still nice, its not hot but it is cool in the high country. Aug is great time to come out also. Let me know when you plan on coming up, we are gonig to go with FatAZZ when he gets in Colorado on a few trails.
