did any one had a problem with Marlin trying to order one of their parts? I oredered a 4.7 gear set last friday and they were supposed to ship it monday or tuesday so i called yesterday (wednesday). The guy who answered didnt cooperate very much, he seemed like he didnt care at all, he says that they have the gear set in an other state and they will maybe go and get them on friday.and nobody this week tried to go.... his story is not standing up.
So my question is, is Marlin crawler a bogus company? Im spending 550$ (1000$ candian currency) for a part and they are messing around with me! What gives. Im thinking very hard to cancel the order and go buy somewhere else!

Marlin Crawler is not a bogus company. Unfortunately they do have a bit of a history with customer satisfaction problems. A lot of this seems to be related to a greater demand for his products than the supply. The rude behavior of the "help" has also been a problem off and on, and there is no excuse for that.

Hang in there, his CS has actualy change quite a bit in the last year or so... They do get the supplier problems, but lately seems like they take care of them quickly... I ordered my crawler on a monday and had it that friday... and that was a year or two ago! He's got a few more people working there now so he dosen't have to answer the phone... you may have got them at a bad time (stress/or something)
Check his BB and see if they posted anything about the gear set delay....

Ya Ive seen the inchworm 4.7 for 630$ and from advanced adapters. it is 80$ more than Marlin which I would not mind for better service except that itll cost me 160$ (exchange rate again) when I go to the border and get them. I guess Ill give them a chance and see what happens on friday...

man i cant say what i said before enough. the guy i talked to was dave, he was available to speak with me every time i called. i shopped around for months comparing all the different hy-steer set ups available and now i dont think i would even look around, just call them.
the problem i had was my crawler parts got water on them from the way i had stored them and they said send it all back we'll check it all out and let you know. they were quick and as soon as i have the money for the bill for the hy-steer they have it ready to ship.

You know this IS NOT THE NOT THE PLACE. I'm so tired of people bad mouthing shops or venders. If you have a bitch please take it up with the company your having problems with. Marlin AND AOR are great people and have awsome products. I have seen alot of bashing. This is not the place for it    BLAZE

I'm down with the Inch Worm gear thing. They took care of me in one week. Great prices also. And no one's bashing it's "General Chat" and people are sharing there experiences. Ther's good and bad at all companys. I'm sure some has bad with one while others have had good with others. Besides if we were bashing we'd be on the BBS
