Some piece of shit triied to steal my rig this morning. Thank GOD for my Viper car alarm, the amazing thing is it continued to sound off after the ****************************s cut almost every wire under the hood including neg. battery cable. So I guess I'll be spending the next few days rewiring my rig. Thought I'd post a warning for those of you in the Salt Lake area. I woke up a few minutes to late,I guess it's agood thing, cause if I would have caught the fawkers I'd probably be heading to the Penn. I guess I should look at the bright side at least I have a rig to rewire.    BLAZE

That sucks! I'm glad they didn't get your rig! Nothing is worse than waking up in the morning and finding your rig gone. :(

Thats the good thing about the Viper alarm, once the alarm has been activated you can't start it even with the key. Blaze

Install a fuel-pump kill switch or something similar ASAP. ;)

It's 10:30 pm 2 days later, every plug and cut wire have been soldered and heat shrinked, had to replaced both batt. cables. Got in it fired right up, I pushed the gas peddle and the throttle stuck. THE FAWKIN BASTARDS even cut the throttle cable and speedometer cable. Oh well I guess at least it fired right up and I still have a rig. One more trip to the Toyota store and I'll be back on the road. BLAZE:D :D :D

pull your EFI chip for like 30 sec to clear all of the codes, then see if it stil does it, cutting all those wires could have tripped it, but if u already cleared it and it went again, i cant help you, never really dealt with the knock sensor too much.

I have reset the comp. and it is still throwing the code. It runs fine so I will talk to some bros at Toyota and find out what's up thanks.

I got stolen my rig once but it was found later! Any way in my runner now I have 2 kill switches a steering wheel club and my best mod yet:

I did a custom hood lock. i put a plate in the hood with a swivel flat bar that goes all the way through the front grille and in back of my bumper where i lock it with a lockable tow pin.

This way the theives will have to pry and scrap the hood to hell before cutting any wires. which by then they will have made too much noise...

Another thing you can do: put a motion detector pointing your truck but instead of lighting a light outside put the light it in your bed room or a buzzer. This way the thief wont be alerted and you can catch him red handed or even call the cops!!
