Ok I just got a check for two grand from my aunt because I needed the money to buy a motorcycle but I'm not going to now.
I'm going to take the money and drop it into my Yota. I've got an 87 EFI w/ IFS stock. I'm going to purchase 4:88's a downey 4 in lift 2 in body torsion bars 35 12.5 15 Dueler Mt's a snorkel and black rock crawler rims 15 x 10. my question is does this sound like a good start? I know all that will cost more than 2k but next month on the 13th I'll be getting grad money so you figure another couple K's. I don't want a locker at this time. Any complaints comments about the stuff lsited above?

Is the pro comp lift any good. downey says that their the only ones who don't make a drop bracket lift. that they have a real lift? I'm not quite sure what to believe but if any of ya'll could help i'd appreciate it

You could swap in a solid axle for the price of a Downey lift. Thats the route I would go.

also snorkles look cool but if youre not going to be up to youtr icehole in water why waste $$$$on a snorkle? and get rid of the ifs plus you mite want to check out a spring shop to make springs all the "rock crawler"springs are is very thin leefs and about 8 of them stacked it mite be cheeper to check it out i know i did and i got a set of rear springs made w/ 12" of lift and 8 leefs in the packfor about $300. that was after i called advanced off road and got them to tell me the specs on their springs.(how thick the leefs and how many)
