Went out yesterday for the 1st time after the Lock-Right install. It seems that I now have major amounts of hop in the rear. Granted, I was in some fairly deep sand but this still bothers me. Has anybody else run into this??? Later...

mine does it fairly bad too. Plan on putting a track bar or what ever it is called from the frame to the top of the diff soon.

When I went to longer springs in the rear it did not wrap our as much as it did with the stock length ones one. I just put a Rocklogic track bar one mine.....I will let ya know how it does. If you do do a track bar make sure you have one with the shackle on the frame side.....That will help it from ripping off the frame(Cross member)

Kind of looks like this

Hey big daddy what kind of rear springs did you use and is it better to run shackles on the front of the spring or does it matter??

I run Alcans springs, they are 5 inches longer than stock. I keep my shackle in the stock location. I have seen guys run there front springs with the shackle in the front (like a jeep) but never saw it on the trail, so I dont know what is better. If it were me I would stick with stock locations...but I am not crazy like some of these guys!:p

If your going off the picture this is from Rocklogics Web site, it is on the Front housing.....not the rear.

Running shackles on the front of the front springs has 2 main disadvantages to it. 1. Road handling is worse than with them in the back. 2. When you drop off a ledge or something similiar, you run a much greater chance of jamming the spring backwards and kinking/breaking it. Mainly because your fixed point of the spring is now in the back. With shackles in the rear, when you drop off the shackle can move and not kink/break the spring. Some say that with the shackles in front your springs will compress and push your tire into a rock for traction, I am not convinced of this either.
