Alright, well I spent this weekend friday through sunday working on lifting my truck. I got the ifs lift kit for cheap ($50) and decided to do that for now till I can afford the SAS. Anyway I am having trouble with my IFS 4wheeldrive. What is happening is, when my drivers side hub is engaged and the CV shaft is turning it will turn for half a turn the bind up where it contacts the differential housing. This causes the whole differential to lift up and down and some popping when it goes back down. The people at Ultimate High 4x4 in orem said you have to twist the differential (drivers side forward) in order to fix the problem. Well I tried this and no luck. Is there anyone that has lifted IFS before that could provide assistance. Thanks.

Try checking the little diff drop brackets, and pay close attn. to the spacer on one or two of the bolts that hold this bracket to the top of the diff, also any oil leaks will make this stuff loosen up, also inspect the little bracket itself, I had broken 2 of them, but there was a spacer and a shim to hold this little bracket (2 bolt holes) in place, just my .02 Stew

I actually got it fixed, but down in moab I broke the bracket that I didn't have on right in the first place. Its the passengerside rear bracket closest to the driveshaft that I have had problems with.
