I went to the dealer looking for bushings to rebuid my idler arm. They said Toyota doesn't make these parts anymore for my year. It's a 88' pickup. I didn't think it was all that old. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know where I can find them?

it should be the same part from 86-95 1/2 the idler arm itself is interchangeable between all torsion bar ifs trucks and 4runners. but i have worked in two dealer parts depts and they are not always helpful for a question like that.

I thought that it was strange. I'll check with another dealership and see if they the parts. I have gotten bad service from this one before. Thanks for the input.

If interested, I have one good used one you can have for the cost of shipping and a cheap 12 pack ;). The frame/IFS is going to the recycler ASAP. Also will throw in another in unknown condition.
I got a new idler assy, never used, 40 bucks if you're interested. Dealer once told me I couldn't buy u-joints, that I'd have to purchase a driveshaft assembly...
