just currious, how many people on this site are from the Great Lakes area. i live in new lenox, Il, and am about an hour from Lake Michigan. just want to wheel with some fellow toys, and was wondering if anyone here was from arround here. i know there are a few, just not sure how many.

yeah we are way out numbered by chevys and fords who dont admit that they rust too:D i have an 85 runner that i beat on (auto and dd) an 87 that i am going to sell and a 91 that has nothing below the frame right now. i am a few weeks from making it roll (the axles will be on) but another few weeks from steering and a trans rebuild. it will then be a 91 reg cab with rear springs in front, mazda rear springs, 3" body lift, 16" bobbed bed, stock engine, marlin crawler, marlin hy-steer, 4.30s fr and rr, welded rear, 38" ground hawgs (cheap and used) and sas of course.

I don't know if it really counts, but I'm from Lansing. The wife told me that in 3+ years, we will be back out there. But because she is screwing me out of the 4x4 mecca of the world, I told her she has to let me get a 30'+ Goose (big enough for 2 trucks), atleast 2 trips per year out here (Utah), 40'X80' Pole barn (aprox $50K to set it all up, Heat, AC, Hoists, paint booth...) and my 954RR.
So, if you guys are around, look me up around Nov 2006, I should have the shop setup the following summer, and tube bendin fabricatin is comin to town!

Thats what the Xtd. Cab Ram Turbo Diesel and the 30'+ goose is gonna be for. With a couple people driving, it shouldnt take long :D
I've got a friend down in Columbus, but he has a Sami, so we should beable to haul 3 trucks
Corey:p
yeah, arround here there arent too many places to wheel.
Corey, i will remember that for when you are back out here, ill be sure to look you up. sounds like you are gonna have not only a nice tow rig, but also a nice "garage".
man, there are no Toy's arround me. its all chevy this, dodge that, my ford doesnt run, blah blah blah. and then theres the jeeps.
everywhere to wheel arround here is just a drive. there is the pipeline in wisconsin; solon, IA; Attica, IN; and apple valley farms, IL. i am centrally located to all of them, and they are all 4-5 hrs away. i need to move out west.
