I KNOW IFS is limited. No $$ for a year. I want to know who's used them & if the make enough of a difference to spend the $$. If you think they are, who's product do you think's best??

Don't waste your $$$, just take them off and throw them in your junk pile. Don't drive your rig like it is a race car around corners and you won't have any problems.

I just want to apologize to all the people I thought were crazy for pulling the bar of & driving w/o it. In a moment of "I wonder..." I pulled mine off yesterday. Went wheelin' today & noticed nothing different. And the roads I take to get to my spot are twisty, windy mountain roads. I thank you all for putting the idea in my head!!!! And I will now suggest this to anybody who asks. Later...

:) Thanks 85Runner! Already have 3/8" poly's in all 6 spots. The ones for the LCA's have never touched. There IS NO compression in the IFS at ALL!!! I'll just push this set-up until it breaks too many parts or I get some $$$ in the truck fund. Later...

Driving w/out the disconnects may work in the 1st and 2nd gen toyotas, but on the Tacomas and 3rd gen 4Runners, I would not recommend doing this. In my '86 4Runner, I could drive around without the sway bar, and there was no difference. However, now that I have a 3rd gen 4Runner, there is definitely a difference. I wouldn't drive on the asphalt without the disconnects. The front coils are just too soft, despite haveing progressive coils, its just a little too scary. Not to mention, in the event of an accident, you don't want to be blamed due to your disconnects missing, even though it was not your fault. You know the other party would look for anything to cast the blame on you.

Watching my brother take corners in his built Tacoma (still IFS), without a front sway bar, (because of skid plate mounting points) from my rear view mirror made me sweat! Jeez those things have alot of body sway!
