how do i get the door panel off?

I searched... 89 pickup, manual windows, cant get the peice that holds the door handle off so i can get the rest of the panel off... wtf?

The door handle has two screws in it that you can see from the side. To get the window crank off you have to use a rag to slide behind the handle to remove the clip. Hope that helps.

i removed the arm rest & window handle... the door panel wont come off, like im missing a step. i removed the one screw in the door handle, but the whole panel is still stuck behind it. how do i get the door handle off without breaking it?

And one other screw in the finger release latch.

figured it out... after removing the screw from the finger latch, the whole peice slides forward. then you can pull the latch off. behind it you will need to disconnect the metal rod from the latch. now the door panel can be lifted off the door. glad i didnt break it, i was getting frustrated
