Looking at a new model 4Runner. Any one have any experience with the 4.7L 8 cyl vs the 4.0L 6 cyl? Looking for this to be a daily driver and possibly tow my 85 4runner occaisonally. which is why i am considering the 6 cy. pros/cons?

I really wanted a tacoma but they are a few thou higher $ for the same yr, mileage, etc.. interesting... And they don't have the 8 cyl option...

4.7 is in the tundra, more power . . .

the 4runner i drove was an 06 with the 4.0vvt v6 and i liked the power from that and it towed my 4runner on 46s efforlessly

that's good to hear. I imagine the mileage is a bit better too.

it averaged while towing 19mpg but about 25mpg not towing
