I need leaf spring shackles for my '92 Pickup. The dealership wants an arm and a leg for them. I've found some cheap shackles online, but they all provide lift. Does anyone know an affordable source for no lift shackles??

Go to the wrecking yard, you can probably get some for next to free. Or just get to flat steel plates and make your own.

Check with 4crawler Offroad or Budbuilt, they might.

Probably a dumb question, but would I need to do any other modifications if I got 1 or 2" lift shackles??? Would I need to lift the front at the same time? Would a rear lift affect handling at all??
I don't want to fork over the $$ for stock shackles from the dealer, local wreckers has nothing and I can only seem to find lift shackles online.

You would probably need longer shocks. If you only went with one inch lift shackles you could probably use your stock shocks OK. You could lift just the rear, it would just look a little tall in the back. You could always buy lift shackles and cut them shorter and drill new holes so they were stock length as well.

you could just go to the local steel supplier and ask if they have some scraps of 3/8" 2 inch wide cold rolled steel around the length you need and see if they would sell it to you then drill them and make your own. it's easy if you can get the steel. try you local welding shop as well for the scrap metal.

just make one, then lay it on top of the other, clamp them together and drill the others. Go get some new bolts at the fastener supply house put em in and your done. if your looking for uniformity then bolt the stack together and grind then to look the same

got my scraps for ten bucks
got bolts for another ten or so
and had what I needed to make them as long as I wanted
