I'm going to put a 20r head on a 1st gen 22r,I've read and been told its a direct swap, are there any snags I should know about before attempting this?

It's fairly straightforward, but if you GOOGLE a little you'll find plenty of info on it.

Pretty straight forward as fourwd1 said. If your 22R has power steering and you want to keep it, make sure the 20R head has provisions for Power Steering.

My 20R doesn't have the provisions for power steering and I have power steering. It still works, but you would be better off having all the bolts used.

Make sure you have the intake manifold and a carb for the 20r head because the ports are round on a 20r as apposed to square 22r. Im not sure how much the stock 20r carb flows but you could always buy a webber. 20 r head has higher compression and flows better

This thread is from 2008, I'm guessing he's done by now.
