Hey everyone, I am just about ready to install a 4" lift on my 90 X-cab 4x4 3.0 IFS toy. I am currently running 31x10.50x15's and I plan on going with 33x12.50x 15's in the future. Will I be ok with stock gearing? I am not into rock-crawling, but I enjoy mudding, and trail driving. THis is also my eveyday driver.

The tires are going to be Pro-Comp Xtreme-mudders... good or bad decision??

For the front end of the truck should I just replace the lower ball joints, since I have to take them out anyway ( new spindles w/ lift)?... any recommdations??

Anything that I should really becareful while installing lift?

I am a decent machanic, so I think that the install shouldn't be that tough.

Thanks in advance for any advice givin?

Jeremy

You'll be fine with 33's, stock gears,and the V6.

Millions of people have run 4 cyl 22R's and 22RE's with stock gears. You may notice a slight loss of power, and 5th may not always cut it uphill, but it's liveable.
