so i want to rebuild my axles (there 23yrs old figured they need it) but i have never really torn apart anything like this so before i tear into it i want to a) figure out what all i need to replace and b) how much ya thin kit might run $ wise im not replaceing any gears yet (prob gonna pay a prof for that job when it comes) just your basic rebuild
i plan on putting about a 4in lift on her sometime this year not sure if that makes any kinda of diff on the rebuild or not so yea any info would be awsome

im not quite sure what you mean by rebuild you axles....so im guessing like your wheel bearings and knuckles. but to service your front wheel bearings and knuckle, basic tools, torque wrench, snap ring plyers and the hard one is a 54mm socket. a FSM helps too. they sell full knuckle service kits at marlin and trail-gear i think trail-gears kit is cheaper but i bought mine from marlin. you can also get the 54mm socket from there too. marlins 54mm has a 1/2 inch drive while trail-gears is cheaper but has a 3/8s drive. i just did my whole front knuckles and wheel bearings.
oh ya i forgot i had this link http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/maintenance/front_end/solid_axle/

oh ya while you open it up you should change your inner axle seal to marlins heavy duty ones there bad ass i have pics of it on my build
