I just installed the allpro tripple-x member, iv run into a problem though. the seccond t-case is all the way up to 1/4 inch of the bottom of the body.(85 runner). so it cannot be raised aney further. the problem is that the whole assembly is tilted down, so the front output shaft is aiming up. i dont really want to put a body lift on, and it looks like the x-member will have to raise up about 3" to be level.
my questions are,
will that front output shaft pointing up a bit be a big issue?
and has aney one installed one of these that may be able to give advice.

my truck is an 85 4runner sr5 3" suspension lift on 33" tires

thanks

can you cut out the body?

Sounds like the horse-collar cross-member is in the way ?

If that's the problem, yes you have to notch it.

no, it hasnt quite reached the horse coller yet. its hitting the under body. i guess ill have to cut the body out but sence its the whole assebly hitting the under body ill have to remove almost the whole mid section.
that wont weaken the structure will it, the seats bolt down pretty close to where ill have to remove.

cut it out and then get creative with some sheet metal. it wont weaken it enough to matter. i would either cut it out in one piece so you can make it removable later on. you can add some sheet metal to the floor to raise it up and then use sheet metal screws or something to fasten it. makes for easy access too! if your running a bench seat you might want to ook for some del sol buckets or some racing seats.
