shackles question

so im making a set of 5 1/2 inch for the front and a set of 7 1/2 inch for the rear on my 85 4runner and i was wondering if it would be a dumb decisioin to not put in a suport in the middle of the shackle or will it be ok? jus wondering cuz they arent to huge but they will still be big. thanks dave

how thick is the steel? i used 3/8"x2" for mine

i was gunna use 3/8th's but i figured 1/4 inch would work. i thinmk they are 1 and 3/4.

If I was going to use shackles that big I'd definetly put something in the center. Especially if you wheel it.

ok well since i dont the exact demensions ill put em on and then weld a peice in between the eyeholes. i figured i would n e ways cuz im thinking it will help with the sway of the truck from side to side cuz i heard it has a tendency of doing that
