winters coming and my yoat has no heat! it blows fine but never warms up? i have an 89 22re pickup. one thing to add the motor warms up fine but the tep gage never goes very high. on a hot day it wall got to a quater. never seen half. on most days it never leaves the thick margin. what are some good trouble shooting procedures to get me some heat?!

Check your thermostat first.

sometimes part stores sell the wrong stat. (too low) borrowed another van at work that had no heat - turned out NO WATER!!!!!!!!!

Either buy a thermostat from Toyota, or drill a small hole in one from a parts store. It could also be your heater valve under the hood. It is on the firewall, you will see the heater hoses going into it. You could remove it and clean the crud out of it. Also make sure your radiator is full of water. Your heater core could also be plugged up. No real way I know of to check it other then taking it out. Heater core is under the dash, not real fun to replace.
