so once again my beloved 84 runner is slowly letting me down i was ridign down a dirt road and hit some bumps pretty hard i thien noticed the truck was idleing alittle differnt (figured a vacum hose poped off or somthing but couldnt find anything) so i went on with the trial riding eventually the truck seemed to fix it self (started idling right) well i noticed once or twice my head lights flicker but nothen more then that well tehn i went to turn around and all the sudden all interior lights went out there no raido no tail/running light and no blinkers my head lights are still working though (may be alittle dimmer the usual, hard to tell) so on the drive home all my interrior light tail/running lights start flicering really fast and i can hear kinda of a clicking on my left side kinda toward toward the fuse panel then eventually it quite
also i have no blinkers and there was a 7.5 fuse (not sure which one havnt looked it up yet) that was blown on the fuse panel by my feet
i have had similar probs before but i took it to a shop and have no idea what all they did other then replace the alt and all the interrior lights and what not
this all happened less then an hour ago so i havnt had time to look stuff up i just know yall have alwyas had the right answer to all my questions so i come here first always thanks for everythign

well i could be wrong but my runner has done the same thing and i have always gone stragiht to the battery to see if it is hoping around and grounding the the body. which thats what mine did. i have a bungee cored now. but yea look at all of those fusses and if you see n e blown ones under the hood or the driver side kick panel then just replace em. check the battery though too. cuz i would get clicking out of my truckk but it would be the passenger side by the computer. good luck

that clicking noise is probably something arcing with your battery (or on a hot wire). check to make sure that your battery is well secured and there are no loose wires or anything it can ground to touching it. also you could check what system that blown fuse belongs to, and trace it back. maybe you'll find a short or exposed wire somewhere. replacing fuses is temporary, fixing what blew it is permanent.

well first of all sorry about taking so long to reply to yalls post i get agervated with the truck and judt let it sit for a couple weeks sometimes but after striping every wire that i ever put in it (pretty much decided im gonna start over with that kinda stuff) i found i had to blown fuses one iby the kick panel and the other was the one behind the battery beside the relays so i got here running with all the lights again but yea thanks and agian sorry for the wait
