just got a motor!!!

i managed to find a 96 Ford F350 with a 7.3L powerstoke, and a 6 spd tranny, i took it out today, and brought the willing yoter up to the shop. The motors gonna be a tight squeeze but shes gonna go....ill let you guys know how the bulid goes. Oh yea....transfer case...Atlas 2.

I have a 6.5 v8 diesel in my yota and there is no room left in the engin compartment.i had to cut the fire wall and front end to fit it and the raidiator. if you have a intercooler i dont know where you will put it at. i have a chevy 3 speed stick with low gear and a rockwell t case.

wow. you make all the guys who swap in a sbc and think they know something look like wimps. is it a turbo diesel? i think i remember a clutch for one of those trucks being around a grand to replace; hopefully yours is good!

i already have a 350 in my 93, im doing this with my 91, the truck it came in has a brand new centerforce clutch in it, so i should be good for a little while, and as for the intercooler, i think im going to mount it in front of the motor, but the radiator is going to be in the box behind the cab...the motor is pretty much stock, it has injectors and a cold air intake, but i doubt ill be using the intake, the turbo is new, but stock..

im hoping it will go farther than my 450hp small block toy will

What do you have for drivetrain? What are you using the truck for? Have some before pics? Do you know how much a powerstroke weighs? What are you going to use for a transmission/transfercase? What are you going to use for springs in the front? How are you mounting the exhaust? Radiator in the bed, what fans for cooling? How are you running the the coolant hoses? What are the dimensions for the moter, height, length, and width. What about frame twist?

I don't want to put the fire out on your pipedream but I'm calling bullshit.

I Have Diffs out of a rolled over 2005 super duty, i will be using the truck for whatever i want to, i dont have any pics of the truck as is, but its just a 91 pickup single cab short box. tranny, im using a 6 spd unit that came with the motor and the transfer case is gonna be an atlas 2. I have done all the research on this motor and i have all the specs, as for the exhaust...right off the turbo out the passenger fenderwall. The rad will be set up the same way the rad is setup in the box of my other toyota with the small block in it (no firewall cutting,whacking...etc. no cutting of anykind) i just made my own mounts. And for frame twist...well see when the frame twists.

He was just adding his comments on the build. I also think that by putting that engine in it will cause problems. That is if you can even fit it in there. I have a great imagination but then I come back to reality and realize that everything I imagine just can't be done due to the laws of physics.

I would love to see you prove us wrong and get it all put together and then come show it off that would be crazy fun good luck with it
