20r and 22r distributor

hey can i use a ealry model 22r distributer in a 76 20r?

i am going to put a 22r carb on 20r

the 20r has no vacume advance or anything but the 22r dose
i was wondering if anyone know if you can use it or not?

I used the distributor from my 83 22R in my 20R motor from a 78 Celica. Both distributors had vacuum advance though.
