one day i rolled up my rear window and the wiper started and would not stop until i unpluged the switch but could not roll down the window again. i assumed there was a sensor that told when the wiper was parked. i also tried unplugging the plug from body to cap at left rear corner. 2 nights ago i fixed the wiper motor and it works nicly (fixed the park position sensor cam) however the window still wont go down.

now i've found that my chiltons skips that part of the truck on the wiring diagram and i'm running out of ideas. any help would be cool :help:

Check 4crawlers website. He has a schematic.
Did you reconnect the body to cap connector you unplugged?

yah i did. everything is put back together but the decorative wiper motor cover and that only because the back is full of stuff. figured it'd be easier with the gate open and stuff removed, but so far window is still stuck.

thanks for the link. now at least i have a direction to go with.

it took me all afternoon using the info on 4crawlers site as a starting point. ended up chasing the wire from the control relay through to console past the top switch sensor back to the tailgate. the problem was dirt in the console switch and also bad contact in the switch that senses that the tail gate is closed. i guess i didn't realize that the control circuit takes such a long course around the truck.

thanks for the tips , on this and other questions. you guys have a great site here for dummies like me. hope i can return the favor.
